Spring Bulbs that didn't Bloom
Mark your spring bulbs that didn't bloom this year. Stones make good markers, and if they are clean and dry you can decorate them with paint. Once the foliage dies back, dig up your reluctant bulbs and amend the soil with compost, then replant. If your bulbs are in a shaded area, move them to a sunny spot.

Important Advice on Airbags
Is an airbag re-packable after it has been opened in an accident?

No. Not if you value your life and sensibly realize that there could be another accident with the same vehicle. Airbags and the complex innards that make them work are not repairable. Unfortunately, some unscrupulous garages and shady mechanics are trying to (sometimes successfully) convince the unwary that either the original can be repacked, or that it can be replaced with an already "repacked" one that is just as good, and that the sucker can save at least one thousand dollars just by stepping this way inside their magical, money-saving facility. It is important to remember that these are proven lifesaving devices and are not recyclable due to their custom design, manufacture and fit.

One more tip for those buying a used car, especially one that might show signs of previous accident damage or repair, especially in front and regardless of how minor. Ask if the airbag was ever discharged and if so, where it was replaced and who did the job.

Okay, point of today's lesson: If anyone ever tries to sell you a repacked or amateurishly (criminally?) installed airbag, send them packing.

Saving on Appliances
When it's time to buy a large appliance, price shop. Visit several stores and always ask if they have a scratch & dent section.

Phone Fun
No doubt someone has thought of this before, but it's still fun. My boyfriend and I send each other text messages on our cell phones when we can't speak on the phone for long - like when I'm at work. I've sent song lyrics...it might be fun to send poetry. Just something to make them smile!

Pill Pointers

Long-acting drugs that allow you to only take one pill a day certainly have their drawbacks.

While you're more likely to remember to take your medication if it's one-a-day, according to Drugs & Aging, if you do forget, you've missed your treatment for the whole day.

By contrast, if you have a pill to take three or four times each day, you can forget one of them and still get most of the benefit.

In one study, subjects were just as likely to take once-a-day drugs and twice-a-day drugs. But the chance that they would go the whole day without any medication was twice as great with the once-a-day medicines.

Love & Hugs,

Angel
