Hershey was a surprise Christmas gift to my children nearly four years ago. He was a rescue puppy along with his bros and sisters. All the pups were named after coffee drinks, Hershey was as dark as espresso so ironically that was what the rescue named him. As soon as I saw him, though, he was as delicious as chocolate so naturally Hershey was a good new name for him. We rescued him through a wonderful rescue called Fur Babies on Long Island.

      Hershey is my middle boy to his big brother Buddy and little sister Penny. They're all couch potatoes and Hershey is the biggest of all as my vet is always encouraging him to lose a little more weight. He's a fun loving dog who has a killer wiggle and a wonderful playful growl. He always greets me when I come home from anywhere and loves to sleep in my room.

      Hershey doesn't enjoy the water of any type, unlike his siblings, but he loves to playfully chase our cats and is curious about our pet cockatiel and pet rats too, often coming nose to nose with them. He's a great companion and friend who makes you feel like you're never alone. Celebrate Hershey!
